About Magic Grill
Located at 104 North Ave, Garwood, NJ 07027, Magic Grill operates as a mongolian bbq serving Garwood in New Jersey. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Garwood, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New Jersey run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 AMβ9 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (908) 789-2110. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, magicgrillgarwoodnj.com.
On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 704 reviews, which is a strong result for a mongolian bbq in Garwood and suggests consistent service.
Garwood is in New Jersey, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Garwood follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

When we entered, I felt like I was in one of the cafeterias on campus. Poor ventilation and sticky tables! While the complementary dumplings were good, that's the end of any hope for a good meal. My food was absolutely tasteless even after pouring on ladles of sauces. My sister tried adding salt, but the shaker was too gross to use. After bringing us 2 glasses and our comp dumplings, the server never returned. We were the only table in there! We got up to pay; we had a gift certificate to redeem, and I begrudging left a cash tip for our "server." After my sis paid and we headed out, same server got nasty and stated, "You know you need to leave a tip." So nasty! My sis informed her to look on the table. We left. Please do yourself a favor and pass this place by!

I have been going here 25+ years. Always the same reliable staff who serve the most delicious and healthy Mongolian BBQ that I have ever experienced. This time I brought my 16 year old son and he absolutely loved it and he already wants to go back. These owners and staff give the best customer attention and service at such a reasonable price for all you get. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My dad saw a video of this restaurant online and wanted to take the hour trip there to try it. It was 100% worth it! The food was amazing and the staff were so welcoming and kind! Thereβs plenty of options to build your own noodles and your dinner comes with rice dumplings and any kind of soup. We will definitely be making the trip back with the rest of the family soon!

Mongolian bbq isnβt my favorite food. After the βpanβ cooked a few dishes, they all taste similar as it picked up previous dishesβ flavor. The service was good. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The sticky rice shumai was fine. Thereβre plenty selection for the dish and sufficient sauces.

Been coming here for over a decade. It is my favorite restaurant, period. It isnβt gonna be mind blowing food, but it is gonna have a homey feeling, good hot food, and itβs ran by folks that genuinely care. Simply, this place reminds me of home. Hard to find a place like it, or a place that will do AYCE noodles for $25.
